Lauren Snyder
About Me
My name is Lauren Snyder. I hail from a small town in western Iowa. Currently, I am a student at Iowa State University studying Event Management & Public Relations, with a minor in General Business and focus on Sports Events. I work hard to maintain my 4.0 GPA while being involved on campus, holding multiple jobs, and maintaining my personal life.
I most recently served as one of two directors for Iowa State Homecoming. Here, I oversaw the celebration and all of its planning for 2022. I was recently named 2023-2024 Senior Class Council President and inducted into Cardinal Key, as well.
I have served previously as a Marketing Director for the Iowa State Student Union Board (SUB) and a Public Relations Chair for ISU's Homecoming Central Committee. I love to explore and discover new passions through campus opportunities.
I have also had the opportunity to be employed by the University. I am a Marketing Intern through Iowa State Athletics and served as an athletics tutor for one semester. I detail my professional experiences here, so feel free to check that out for more detail. In addition to that, I work as a childcare provider at Ames Fitness Center.
My free time (though there's often not too much of that) is often spent exercising, cooking, watching sports, and being with my friends/family. I am a huge people person and love being around those who make me happy.
I value humor highly, too. I LOVE to laugh and like to look at life through a lighthearted lens. I find that life is better when you focus less on the things you can't change and more on the things within your control.
I am an easygoing, personable, and adaptable student. I put others before myself and am passionate about providing the best experience possible for the consumer. I am often doing many different things at once, and I firmly believe that I'm at my best when I am busy. This has always been the case, which is why it's no shock to anyone I know that I'm pursuing the career path that I am.
Something I've always been passionate about is sports. Though sports marketing is my first love in the industry, I am currently looking to pursue a career in athlete development or community engagement. It's so important to me to turn every great player into a great person, and I want to play a role in success outside of the contest being played.
