Sin City Spades

I took a digital production class during my second semester of college. For several weeks, we were tasked with developing an event and the small details that surround it. We were allowed to choose whatever we wanted to as long as it was something we could stick to. I chose to start from nothing and build an event to celebrate and thank the donors of a brand-new, completely fictional NBA team.

The team, the Sin City Spades, is based in Las Vegas, NV. Their logo is a spade inside of a poker chip and their colors are the bold green, red, and gold combination showcased in the presentations below. The event is an inaugural banquet to celebrate the teams' donors. Many of the designs are uniform in style and are made to look professional through the use of clean lines and consistent branding.

Through this project, I really honed in on and further developed my Photoshop skills. I also learned Illustrator, InDesign, and Google SketchUp. I learned how important the details (like the table settings) are. These projects also taught me the importance of branding and time management. You can't spend an hour making sure every inch is perfect, but you need to make sure every inch is perfect. I've become quite meticulous and far more organized through doing these projects every week. It's safe to say this project quickly became my baby, and I'm so proud of how it turned out. Here are some of my favorite pieces:
